The analysis of the kinematics of the brake pad drive has shown that due to redundant links in the brake pad drive mechanism the latter are not able to self-align. This leads to uneven braking torque during the smooth braking, overloads and deterioration of the positioning accuracy of the load suspended on the cable. Based on the methods of analyzing the kinematics of complex mechanisms, two variants of modernization without redundant links are proposed. Both variants can be realized without changing the kinematics of the mechanism, but they differ in the complexity of the joint manufacturing technology and depend on the design and dimensional limitations of the brake.
